homemade pizza

Ingredients for pizza crust

• 2 1/2 cups of Flour

• 1 tablespoon of Yeast
• 1 teaspoon of Salt
• 4 tablespoons of Oil
• 1 cup of Warm Water
• 1 tablespoon of Honey

Mix dry ingredients together then add wet ingredients.
Knead for 5 minutes then let rest for 5 minutes.
Roll out dough and put it on a baking sheet (we use a stone).

Next we chop up some fresh herbs like thyme, rosemary, basil and oregano and put them onto the crust.  You can also use dried herbs.  You don't need to use much because they have a lot of flavor.

Next pour some sauce on the crust and use as much as you like.

Then put about 2 cups of cheese on top.  We get pizza cheese from Kroger.

And then you put any toppings you want.  I like sausage the best but we usually do peperoni and my parents like olives, onions and green peppers.

Bake at 425 for about 10-15 minutes or the cheese gets just a little brown.

chocolate chip cake

Ingredients:
1 cup oil
1 small box instant chocolate pudding
4 eggs
1 tbsp vanilla
¼ cup water
1 box butter flavored cake mix
1 8oz carton of sour cream
1 6oz package of chocolate chips (we use a little more)

Preheat oven to 325.
Prepare bunt pan with oil and flour.
Mix all ingredients for 3-5 minutes and pour into pan.
Bake 1 hour (until a toothpick comes out clean).
Cool on rack for 10-15 minutes and then remove from pan.

We like it best when it is warm!

This is very easy to make.  I hope you like it.

full meal

On Tuesday night my Mom let me make the whole dinner. She was in the kitchen watching and answering my questions. I made hamburger buns, sloppy joes, broccoli and lemon tea. Here are the recipes...

HOMEMADE HAMBURGER BUNS

4-5 cups of flour (i use white and whole wheat)

2T yeast

1 cup milk

3/4 cup water

1 t salt

1/2 cup oil

3 T honey

Mix 2 cups of flour with 2tbsp yeast.

Heat milk, water, salt, oil and honey until very warm but not burning.

Mix warm milk mixture with flour/yeast mixture.

Add remaining flour until you get a nice dough consistency.

Set in bowl and let rise for 10 minutes.

Lay out on well floured surface and roll until about 1/2 inch thick.

Use a quart sized mason jar ring to cut out buns.

Place buns on well greased pan.

Let rise for 30 minutes in a warm area.

Bake in preheat 400 degree oven for 12-15 minutes!

SLOPPY JOES with deer meat

1lb of deer meat or any ground meat of your choice

1/4 onion chopped

1/4 cup green pepper chopped

2/3 cup of ketchup

1 t mustard

3 T brown sugar

1/2 t garlic powder

salt/pepper to taste
Brown meat with onions and pepper until cooked.

Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 20-30 minutes.

Place meat mixture on your choice of bread or bun.

Lemon Tea

1 bunch of lemon balm

4 family sized tea bags

Put 2 cups of water and tea bags in microwave safe bowl.

Microwave for 5 minutes.

Carefully remove from microwave and put lemon balm in.

Let sit for 10 minutes.

Pour tea into gallon sized pitcher.

Fill with water until tea measures 1 gallon.

(If you like sweet tea add 1.5 cups of sugar to hot tea and dissolve before adding remaining water or you can add artifical sweetener any time.)

For the broccoli I put about 1 cup of water in a pot with 4 cups of cut up broccoli and cooked it until it was tender. I added some salt, pepper and butter when it was done.
